Upcoming Changes to the EU Imports Legislation

Dear EU customers,

You are probably aware of the fact that the EU is soon removing its €22 VAT exception for imported goods. From the 1st of July 2021 all goods shipped to the EU will be subject to a VAT tax no matter their declared value.

We want to make it very clear: Since all our prices are already tax-inclusive, they will not change.

What is of more concern to us is that the EU is also changing the way the customs clearance process is done. Unfortunately, due to this change there could be some delays with order deliveries during the transformation period. At the moment we cannot say how long this period will last nor how badly the delivery times will be affected, but we are working with our shipping partners to keep the negative impact to the minimum.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause our EU customers and will post an update once we have gained more information on this matter.

20 October 2021 Update:

Now that it’s been almost four months since we made this announcement and as we have accumulated quite a lot of data on shipments to our EU customers during this period, we can say that the shipping times to the EU countries have been affected only to a minimal extent.

At the moment we do not experience any shipping delays related to the new legislation.
